Here is an unorthodox house, based on a bridge.  Using the Fairview residential suite Ellisons Aluminium manufactured the joinery for this Central Otago house.

The triangular window panes in the central bridge area are all double glazed and fixed into steel using aluminium chanels and flashings.  The steel and aluminium is all powdercoated the same colour so it appears as one.

Each double glazed window was so heavy it took 8 men to lift into position.  The remainder of the joinery was "a dance in the park" in comparison, regular units installed in the regular manner.

The fixed pane window beneath the bridge is effective for letting in light and preventing wind swirl in the BBQ area.
