Aluminium Joinery

ALUMINIUM JOINERY – There are 4 elements that make up a window or door
 1.    FRAMES – these are the opening styles of joinery used,  i.e. bifold or sliding windows, or French and stacker doors, to best maximise the building and the environment in which it sits. Our designers have created a range of designs and styles that are inspired by the latest trends and proven classic styles.  A configuration sheet helps to see just what is available.

2.      COLOUR
Powdercoating- colour selection is important for the aesthetics of the building both inside and out.  And to achieve this look and feel there is a huge range of colours to choose from.

Despite the fact that today’s powdercoatings are some of the best, durability is a consideration in New Zealands high UV and sometimes harsh climate.  Interpon has developed a D1010 premium product performance warranty offered by Fairview and Elite window and door manufacturers.

There are two big benefits with D1010 powdercoating, first it increases the time span for standard warranties to 10 years.  The second is that it is suitable for commercial high rise and coastal environments, where traditionally anodizing is recommended for coastal areas.

NEW FINISHES – | Mist Anodise | Eurocote | Dual Colour

Anodising
Anodising aluminium provides a metallic appearance.  The finish is tough and durable and the colours are the result of anodic oxide coating, bringing out the colours within the metal.

The standard colour range is: silver, champagne, light bronze, medium bronze, dark bronze and black.  The colours here are an indication only.

Aluminium Systems have now extended their range to incude:

Mist Anodising
This uses the standard 6 anodising colours and extends the process further to give a matt surface which provides a very flat, smooth surface colour.  It also offers the durability and toughness of standard anodising.  The colours are: Standard Champage, Natural, Light Bronze, Medium Bronze, Dark Bronze and Black and their equivalent Mist colours.

Eurocote TM
This is a heat bonded wood grain or patterned coating that not only looks and feels like the real thing but is durable and low maintenance.   Eurocote TM provides a wide range of colour choice opportunities.

Dual Colour
With ThermAcolour you can achieve improved thermal performance.  Another beauty of separating the window or door frame into exterior aluminium and interior aluminium is that it provides you with an opportunity to colour mix.  ThermAcolour is therefore available in dual powdercoat colour and dual anodising finish.

Silver           Champagne  Light Bronze

Medium Bronze Dark Bronze    Black

Eurocote Acacia Natural

Eurocote Dark Walnut

Eurocote Light Cherry

3.       HARDWARE
This is a vast and ever changing market which considers primarily security, but also aesthetics.  The Multi-Point Locking sash is a new range of ASL hardware that dramatically increases security.

 4.    GLASS
There are many glazing options available beyond the standard clear glass predominantly used in windows.  Good glazing provides answers to insulation against heat and cold, protection against UV rays, privacy, light transmission and glare protection, noise reduction, condensation reduction, security and safety.
